Neighborhood Pet Clinic’s Giving Tree
Season’s Greetings and Happy New Year! As some of you are aware, Neighborhood Pet Clinic chooses a local organization or facility to donate goods and/or services to around Christmas each year. In 2012 and 2013, Neighborhood Pet Clinic veterinarians and staff donated their time to perform wellness examinations and necessary vaccinations for some of the pets of an assisted living facility in our community, Van Vista. Recognizing a need at this facility, the clinic decided to select Van Vista living facility to support during the holidays. The clinic requested the names, breeds, and ages of pets taken care of by Van Vista residents. This information was paired with ornaments hung on the lobby Christmas tree.
Neighborhood Pet Clinic’s wonderful clients and staff selected ornaments from the tree during December and then purchased essential items to donate to these cats, dogs and a bird! The clients of NPC even donated money that allowed the staff to supplement the essential items with extra toys and treats. Hill’s Science Diet generously donated a bag of food for each pet as well!
The Doctors and staff at Neighborhood Pet Clinic would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s giving tree. Everyone’s efforts made a true difference for many individuals and their pets this holiday season. If you have any suggestions for community service ideas for next year feel free to call our clinic Monday – Friday at 360-546-5534 or email us at npcvet@yahoo.com. We truly appreciate all the giving hearts this holiday season!
