Who is this group for? This group is suitable for you if:

  • You have recently lost a pet
  • You have lost a pet in the past
  • You are anticipating the death of a pet
  • Adults only please
  • You do not need to have any previous art experience

Why would this be group be healing for me? One of the best ways to work through grief when losing a pet is to create a memorial for them with art.  The current research shows that creating art and healing come from the same source, emitting the same powerful brain wave patterns.  Art helps to reduce stress, to ease pain, and gives a voice to unknown emotions, feelings and behaviors.  This group will create a special time to share your stories with others and honor the human-animal bond.
